Rule 603. Attempt to Injure/Deliberate Injury of Opponents (Head Butting)
A match penalty shall be imposed on any player who deliberately
injures or attempts to injure an opponent and the circumstances shall
be reported to the Proper Authorities for further action. A substitute for the
penalized player shall be permitted at the end of the fifth minute.
A match penalty shall be imposed on any player or Team Official who deliberately injures or attempts to injure a Team Official or Game
Official in any manner and the circumstances shall be reported to the
Proper Authorities for further action.
Any player wearing tape or any other material on his hands who
cuts or injures an opponent during an altercation shall receive
a match penalty under this rule.
A major plus a game misconduct penalty
shall be imposed on any player who ``head-butts'' in
such a manner as to in any way foul an opponent.
For Juniors only - A double minor plus game ejection penalty option also
applies under subsection (d) of this rule.
(Note) ``Head-butting'' may also be treated as an Attempt to Injure or
Deliberate Injury of an Opponent under Rule 603.
